We have been to the 12th edition of Italia in Rosa, one of the most important event dedicated to rosé wine, on Garda Lake. A lot of rosé lovers, especially Millenials have participated in the event from 7 to 9 and this indicate that rosé is a growing trend. 191 Companies and more than 260 wines from all over Italy, from Sicily to Trentino Alto Adige.

Italia in Rosa has been an occasion to meet old friends and meet new ones. It is true, one never stop learning.

Many innovations astonished us:  Enosocial has arrived to Italia in Rosa, the app that makes possible to purchase bottles directly at the event as if it were a direct sale; Take a picture to the QR code of the bottle, then proceed to payment, and the bottle arrives at your place. We think Enosocial is very convenient and useful.

We participated to a masterclass on rosé from Tuscany: to emerge in a region where there are some of the most famous red wines of Italy and perhaps in the world is not easy but the strategy seems to be the right one, thanks also to the Rosae Maris Association, which represents 30 Companies from Maremma and promote these wines. We really appreciated these wines, and we can say Sangiovese can give excellent results even in the pink version.

We have the opportunity to visit some producers in these days and we will meet the others at Roséxpo, next 22-23 june in Lecce.

We have met Giulia of Azienda Cataldi Madonna, Abruzzo. We really appreciated her Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo DOC.

She calls rosé wines “Rosa” (it means Pink in italian) because Rosé is a french and anachronistic word.

What do you think?
